What is Beacon Valley?
Beacon Valley is a 13-episode supernatural horror series filled with eerie mysteries, practical effects, stunning VFX, and unforgettable characters. The story unfolds in a remote town where reality twists, ancient forces stir, and the past refuses to stay buried.
We have been developing the world of Beacon Valley through proof-of-concept short films, VFX tests, and early production work. Now, we are launching this fundraising campaign to bring Phase One to life—starting with Episode 00 (Induction) and Episode 01 (The Valley Below).

Why This Project Matters

- Proving the Team – Demonstrating that we can assemble and lead a team to execute high-quality indie horror.
- Proving Indie Filmmaking Can Go Big – We are part of the latest wave of Hollywood-level cinema being produced locally. This is our opportunity to option the series or take it all the way as a self-produced project.
Who We Are
We are Jim Marbury and Jared Moore, longtime collaborators in theater and independent film. Together, we’ve performed Shakespeare (Macbeth and Macduff) and built stage productions, worked on as collaborators on other filmmaker’s projects, but Beacon Valley is our first large-scale film project.
Jim brings more than a decade of experience managing a theater company, excelling in producing, directing, and storytelling. Combined with his recent degree in digital filmmaking and Jared’s extensive background in local theater and film, we are uniting our expertise in performance, visual storytelling, and production to explore this ambitious new world.
This is a passion project, born from years of creative collaboration, and we’re excited to take it to the next level.
